UPPER DOLPO TREK

 

 

The fascinating and rugged upper Dolpo was allowed for the trekkers only in 1991. Then in 1992 a few trekkers started to flow in as an experimental basis. It is strenuous and needs hard climb yet it is greatly rewarding.

 

Itinerary

Upper Dolpo Trek (Full Camping Trek)
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 02 : ½ day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley and preparation day
Day 03 : Flight/Drive to Pokhara (930m)
Day 04 : Fly to Jomsom and immediately trek to Daker Dzong (2950m)
Day 05 : Trek to Yak Kharka (3540m)
Day 06 : Trek to Sangdang Phedi (4215m)
Day 07 : Trek to Milung Kharka (4735m)
Day 08 : Trek to Chharka (4540m)
Day 09 : Trek to Ramanan Kharka (4627m)
Day 10 : Trek to Do Tarap (4950m)
Day 11 : Trek to Tokkyu Village
Day 12 : Trek to Chutung Dang (3967m)
Day 13 : Trek to Cibu Kharka (3915m)
Day 14 : Trek to Saldang (4100m)
Day 15 : Trek to Yang Tsser Village (4300m)
Day 16 : Trek to Karang (4100m)
Day 17 : Trek to Ramanan (4600m)
Day 18 : Trek to Samling Gompa (3800m)
Day 19 : Trek to Shey Gompa (4500m)
Day 20 : Rest Day at Shey Gompa
Day 21 : Trek to Yak Kharka (4500m)
Day 22 : Trek to Ringmu (3600m)(Phoksundo Lake)
Day 23 : Trek to Rachi
Day 24 : Trek to Roha Village
Day 25 : Trek Juphal Airport
Day 26 : Early morning flight to Nepalgunj to Kathmandu
Day 27 : Rest day or final shopping day
Day 28 : Final departure to homeland.
