Pike Peak Trek

 

Pike Peak trek lies in Solukhumbu region, which is quite remote area where we can see only few tourists. This area is only for camping not for tea house where only local people houses are found. We will go through interesting villages having monasteries, temples and pilgrimage places on this trek. In this trek we can see Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mera Peak, Numbur Himal, Gauri Shankar, Dudh Kunda Himal and many other peaks mainly from Pike Peak. In this region we can find 5 different types of rhododendron species. We can learn about different local cultures in this trek including Sherpa culture. In this region we can find different types of rhododendron species and other kinds of flowers and birds too. We can enjoy this trek especially on September-October and March-April. The itinerary for this trip is mentioned below. This region is the home village of our managing director Mr. Bhai B. Tamang. He had born in Gunsha which lies on the way of this trek. If are interested you can meet many people of his village, know their culture scrupulously and also absorb the toilet project undertaken by Mr. Bhai B. Tamang in his village.

 

Itinerary # 1

Pike Peak Trek (Full camping trek)

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel
Day 02 : ½ day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley and preparation day
Day 03 : Early morning drive to Jiri (approximately 6 to 7 hrs drive)
Day 04 : Trek to Shivalaya
Day 05 : Trek to Bhandar
Day 06 : Trek to Goli Gompa
Day 07 : Trek to Pike Peak Base Camp
Day 08 : Top the Pike Peak(4065m.) and Exploration day
Day 09 : Trek to Loding Village
Day 10 : Trek to Phaplu
Day 11 : Exploration day at Phaplu and Saleri which is headquater of Solukhumbu District
Day 12 : Early morning flight to Kathmandu and transport to hotel
Day 13 : Rest or final shopping day in Kathmandu
Day 14 : Final departure to homeland
