MANI RIMDU CULTURE TREK

Mani Rimdu and Guru Shige are the two grand Buddhist festivals of Mask dance held on the day of full moon in the month of Novermber in Chiwong and Jyasa monasteries respectively. It is an auspicious occasion for the native Buddhists devotees to clean their body and soul to pray for their families to protect them from all evil forces of nature, to pray for all beings for peace and hamony and for the good harvest in the coming years. Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transport to hotel
Day 02 : ½ day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley and preparation day for the trek
Day 03 : Drive to Jiri
Day 04 : Trek to Shivalaya
Day 05 : Trek to Bhandar
Day 06 : Trek to Sete
Day 07 : Trek to Lamjura Pass
Day 08 : Trek to Junbesi
Day 09 : Trek to Chiwang Gumpa
Day 10 : Observe festival in Chiwang Gumpa (observe Buddhist pooja with mandala)
Day 11 : Full day festival observation (mask dance)
Day 12 : Full day festival observation(blessing day)
Day 13 : Full day festival observation(fire pooja)
Day 14 : Trek to Phaplu
Day 15 : Early morning flight back to Kathmandu and transport to hotel
Day 16 : Rest day or final shopping day
Day 17 : Final departure to homeland
