Chulu West Peak

There are three Chulus (East, Central and West), among them Chulu West(6485m.) is the second higher Peak. The first ascent to Chulu west was made by a Japanese Expedition team in 1952. It lies in a small valley north of Manang; off the main trail to the Thorung La. Clulu East(6300m.) was climbed by a German Expedition team in 1955 via the North East Ridge. Thus, it is difficult to differentiate between the two Chulus. However, both the peaks are not technically difficult to climb but the pace of walk can be slow as the slopes are vulnerable to avalanches in certain areas.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu & transfer hotel
Day 02: ½ day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley and preparation for the trek
Day 03: Drive to besi Sahar 823m.
Day 04: Trek to Nyagdi
Day 05: Trek to Jagat
Day 06: Trek to Dharapani
Day 07: Trek to Chame 2713m.
Day 08: Trek to Pisang Village 3185m.
Day 09: Trek to Manang 3350m.
Day 10: Rest day and little hike around the Manang Valley
Day 11: Trek to Ledar or Yak Kharka
Day12:  Trek to Chulu west Base Camp 4000m.
Day 13: Trek to Chulu west high camp 5000m. Aprox.
Day 14: climb Chulu west 6419m. and back to Base Camp
Day 15: Trek to Thorong Base camp {Phedi} 4500m. Aprox.
Day 16: Trek to Muktinath crossing by Thorong La(5416m)
Day 17: Trek to Jomsom 2800m.
Day 18: Trek to Kalopani 2530m.
Day 19: Trek to Marpha
Day 20: Trek to Ghasa.
Day 21: Trek to Tatopani
Day 22: Trek to Gorepani
Day 23: Trek to Tirkhedunga
Day 24: Trek to Birethati
Day 25: 1 hour walk to Naya pul and drive to Kathmandu and transport to hotel
Day 26: Rest day or final shopping day in Kathmandu Valley
Day 27: Final Departure to home land.
